The Interview That Can Make or Brake

The reality of an interview process is that most of your qualities are going to be judged on our ability to annunciate properly as well as put together a proper resume’. The interview process is not an easy process and can sometimes call for you to come back two to three times to re-interview. Some top advice is that you can be a little nervous as these individuals are dealing with everyone else being nervous but a great way to help you in the process is to appear overly qualified for the position. We don’t mean that you have to appear and come off cocky and ungrateful but if you can practice having a few questions shot at you from a friend or roommate can help you prepare yourself for some silly questions that you will be asked. The fact that you might not have the strongest resume’ is irrelevant as you must walk into the interview believing that you are the best candidate for the position. If you can simply stay friendly with the interviewers and not overly kiss ass then you will help them with the process. These interviews usually have been interviewing several individuals that are promising them anything and everything so it is important that you reiterate that you are efficient at the tasks that they have planned and if training is  involved later on then you will be ready for it a willing to do what is necessary to make yourself a more valuable asset to the company. Most interviewers want face time so don’t simply expect to just read off your resume’ to them as they have already see that. Explain to the interviewers how you are a prime candidate for the position. If it is a position that requires team effort let them know how you are open to suggestion by your peers and that you prefer to use a scientific method of gathering as much data and making a judgment call with all the data given and how you give everyone the fair chance but how you are friendly but effective and can lay down the rules if need be. Companies want individuals that don’t cause problems with their work or co-workers and that show up on time so if you have proof of any of these skill from your past places of employment then show them and if you have an extracurricular activity that deals with you going above and beyond normality as well as any leadership skills then be sure to bring them up. Let them know you are stable and ready to perform the task at hand as well as show them that you have a thirst for success and want to climbing the corporate ladder through the company. Since we do not know how every interview process will play out we do know that there is plenty of interviewers that have heard all the individuals pleading for employment and promising the moon and since these individuals usually are seen through to their true colors just be honest with the interviewers as they know that this is a job and that it is hard to get more work out of individuals than at the level they are paid at. If you can dress appropriately and take the time to practice a mock interview process you will be able to take on the day with less fear and with having more confidence you will make for a better interview candidate thus helping your chances tremendously for getting that job position or career and for that reason you should prepare as much as possible but be ready for curveballs.

What are clients saying about Insight Interview Preparation?

“I have interviewed numerous job applicants myself. I’ve seen people who have handled every question with amazing skill, and I have seen others who stumbled through the interview without delivering even one impressive answer. And I’ve realized that interviews can really matter in hiring decisions.
I’ve always felt fairly confident in my own ability to interview well. But, recently, when I had applied for a job I *really* wanted and was granted an interview, I wanted to do everything in my power to improve my chances of being hired. After learning just how important interviews can be for a job applicants’ chances, I realized that I should spend some time getting ready to ace my interview. But I felt lost, and unable to improve on my own. Thank god, I found Insight’s web site, and scheduled a consultation.
I can’t express how happy I’ve been with Insight Interview Preparation. My coach was friendly, easy-going, and incredibly helpful. My interview was with a federal judge, someone who was very used to grilling people, and I needed to be ready for anything. Thanks to my Insight coach and Insight’s shockingly effective techniques, only a few days later I knew I was ready rock the interview.
My interview went incredibly well! I have honesty never had such success in an interview in my entire life. A few days later, I got a call from the judge, offering me the job!
Thank you Insight, I will recommend you to all of my friends and family!” – FL, New York, NY

“Towards the end of my graduate school program, it was time to interview for jobs with big-time, prestigious Wall Street firms. I didn’t have any solid work experience, and I had certainly never interviewed with a company the likes of those with which I was about to interview. Still, being very comfortable with people, and having a very impressive resume, I went for the gold and applied for the best jobs available.
I was granted interviews with many of the world’s best firms in my field. Unfortunately, my first three interviews did not go well. I was politely turned down. With several more interviews to go, I knew I had to do something. Perhaps the best decision I ever made in my life was to get help from Insight Interview Preparation. With my Insight coach’s guidance, and his amazing method, I nailed my remaining interviews. I scored offers at 7 out of 8. I owe it all to Insight.” FD – New Haven, CT
